Today, Blizzard announced, on the official Overwatch Twitter, that we have another free weekend incoming!
The official tweet reads:
That’s right Overwatch fans! Another full free weekend of Overwatch is coming to PC. Whether you have been a fan of the game and just not had the opportunity to play, or your PC buddies keep pestering you to tear yourself away from your console; Blizzard has got you covered next weekend.
Starting on Thursday July 26, 2018 11:00am PST and going through Monday July 30,2018 11:59pm PST Overwatch is free to play, on PC only.
Over the course of the free weekend, fans will have access to the full Overwatch roster of 28 heroes as well as having all 18 maps available to play on. Each map will be made available in a variety of game modes. This includes but is not limited to, Quick Play, Custom Games, and Arcade. Newcomers to the game will be able to level up, earn loot boxes and even be able to unlock a variety of different customization options for the game.
Now that sounds great and all, but you may be wondering, “Well what happens to all my progress after I’ve test driven the game?” Well here’s the best part! If you decide to purchase Overwatch after this brief stint of playing the game, you will maintain any and all progress that you made over that time – just be sure that you use the same Blizzard account that you play on initially.
